BIOGRAPHY

I received my Ph.D. in Hydrogeology from the University of Minnesota. In addition to being a professor at Syracuse University since 1982, I'm also an Adjunct Professor of SUNY's Departments of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Forest Engineering. Before my academic positions, I worked as a hydrologist/geochemist for the U.S. Geological Survey.

I teach GOL 105 and GOL 541.

My professional interests and work focus on peatland hydrogeology and geochemistry, and contaminant transport in groundwater systems. For more information about my research interests and current projects, please click here.

My hobbies include competitive chess.
