I teach GOL 103: Earth System Science, GOL 395: Oceanography and Limnology, GOL 510: Paleolimnology, and GOL 345/545: The Geologic Record of Global Change. My professional interests focus on the reconstruction of global environmental conditions from lake and ocean sediments, particularly paleoclimate of the Holocene (last 10,000 years). I'm trained as an oceanographer and have spent over 400 days at sea in the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico, and the eastern Pacific Ocean.
